An inexpensive spa and hot tub control system

This is a diagram of a complete self-contained spa control system. 
It does not represent any particular brand of system, it is a basic "home-brew" type of controller, built from easily available components.

This design provides for:

  • Thermostat activation of low speed pump and heater.
  • High temperature protection, shuts down the entire system.
  • Pressure switch protection for the heater.
  • Fully adjustable, timed filtration.
  • Single air button control, using the Pres:Air:Trol MTG-311A sequential air switch.




Parts Requirements:
  • 1, MTG-311A Air Switch.
  • 1, T9 style, (or other), 115V, Single pole relay.
  • 2, T92 115V 30 amp relays.
  • 1, Standard Capillary thermostat.
  • 1, Standard Capillary high limit switch.
  • 1, Standard Pressure or Flow switch.
  • 1, Timer, 115V. (Optional).
  • 2, Fuses and holders.
  • Wiring, box, other miscellaneous items as needed.
